Data Migration Lead Service Now Our client is URGENTLY seeking an experienced Da ta Migration Lead whowill be responsible for defining, planning , and delivering all data migration activities for a large-scale Service Now TPSM transformation programme.

The role ensures that data is accurately extracted, transformed, validated, and loaded into Service Now in line with business, technical, and platform requirements, s upporting a successful go-live for the client's first Op Co.

This role will lead the end-to-end data migration workstream and work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, Service Now architects , testing teams, and system integrators.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy & Planning Define and own the overall data migration strategy, scope , and detailed migration plan for the TPSM implementation .

Identify all in-scope data objects, legacy systems, data sources, dependencies, and sequencing.

Define data quality standards, migration principles, mapping templates, and acceptance criteria.

Plan migration waves, mock cycles, and production cutover activities in alignment with programme milestones. 2.

Data Mapping & Design Lead data mapping workshops with business SMEs and technical teams.

Define and document source-to-target mappings aligned with the Service Now TPSM data model.

Translate business and functional requirements into practical t ransformation and validation rules.

Ensure alignment with integrations, configuration , and overall Service Now platform architecture. 3.

Data Extraction, Transformation & Loading (ETL) Oversee extraction of data from legacy systems , databases, and spreadsheets.

Manage development and execution of ETL processes using Service Now Import Sets , Transform Maps, MID Server, APIs , or external tools.

Coordinate and manage load cycles across development, SIT, UAT, pre-production, and production environments.

Control versioning, re-loads, and data refresh activities. 4.

Data Quality & Validation Lead data profiling, cleansing, and enrichment activities to ensure data completeness , accuracy, and consistency.

Manage validation cycles with business stakeholders and SMEs .

Own reconciliation processes, error handling, issue resolutio n, and data sign-off.

Maintain full traceability and audit documentation . 5.

Testing & Cutover Support SIT and UAT cycles , ensuring data readiness for each test phase.

Plan and execute final cutover migrations , including freeze periods, delta loads, and rollback planning.

Lead final production loads and post-load validation .

Support hypercare and stabilisation ensuring data integrity post go-live .

KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Strong experience leading data migration in enterprise IT transformation programmes where Service Now is the main platform .

Hands-on experience with Service Now as target platform (TPSM / ITSM preferred).

Excellent knowledge of Import Sets, Transform Maps, and Service Now data models .

Strong ETL, SQL, data quality , and reconciliation experience .

Proven experience delivering migrations through multiple test cycles and cutover.

Strong stakeholder and project coordination skills.

BACKGROUND Service Now transformation experience in complex environments Multi-system and phased migration experience Telecoms or service provider experience a plus
