Once educational institutions, government agencies, and other businesses sign on to use Google Cloud products, you come in to facilitate making their work more productive, mobile, and collaborative. You deliver what is most helpful for the customer. You assist fellow sales Googlers by problem-solving key technical issues for our customers. You liaise with the product marketing management and engineering teams to stay on top of industry trends and devise enhancements to Google Cloud products.

As a part of the Strategic Pursuits organization, you will work within the Google Cloud Go-To-Market organization to drive business growth through the systematic identification and execution of specific, non-standard growth opportunities that open new markets, acquire new customers or grow existing customers. As a Technical Sales Specialist in Google Distributed Cloud, you will work closely with the sales and pre-sales teams to offer and deliver complex distributed cloud solutions. You are the technical expert with strategic global customers, leading conversation on cloud offers and driving decisions to align with Google Cloud services and delivery team innovation and capabilities.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

  • Germany: 132000 - 135000 (EUR) + 42.86% bonus target + equity + benefits

  • Spain: 110000 - 112000 (EUR) + 42.86% bonus target + equity + benefits
  • France: 126000 - 129000 (EUR) + 42.86% bonus target + equity + benefits

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in a sales or customer-facing role.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Experience with key defense system Integrators (SIs), Service Providers (SPs) and Independent Software Vendors (ISVs).
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in defence and intelligence, including customer, partners, and defence ecosystems.
  • Knowledge of key defence System Integrators (SIs), Service Providers (SPs), and Independent Software Vendors (ISVs).
  • Understanding or knowledge of the competitive landscape, including cloud providers and platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Elevate the business and technical relationship between customers and Google.
  • Collaborate with the account executives and the broader field organization to drive strategic pursuits for GDC offerings across the US region.
  • Develop a plan to accelerate the GDC business in the US by growing the pipeline and progressing opportunities to a close.
