GPN Recruitment are currently working with a well-established and highly regarded accountancy firm that is looking to strengthen its Corporate Tax team with an experienced Corporate Tax Manager. The firm has built an excellent reputation for providing a high-quality service to a diverse portfolio of clients. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to join a supportive and commercially focused environment where they can take genuine ownership of their client portfolio and play an important role in the continued growth of the tax team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • As Corporate Tax Manager, you will have a broad role across both corporate tax compliance and advisory, with an approximate 60% compliance / 40% advisory split.
  • Managing a portfolio of corporate tax clients from a variety of sectors.
  • Reviewing and overseeing corporation tax computations and returns.
  • Providing corporate tax advice and identifying tax planning opportunities.
  • Supporting clients with ad hoc corporate tax queries.
  • Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact.
  • Reviewing work completed by more junior members of the team.
  • Assisting Partners with more complex advisory projects.
  • Supporting and mentoring junior members of the tax team.
  • Contributing to the continued development of the firm's corporate tax offering.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • CTA qualified.
  • Currently operating at Corporate Tax Manager level.
  • Strong corporate tax compliance experience.
  • Experience managing a portfolio of corporate clients.
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK corporation tax.
  • Advisory experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Commercially minded with strong client-facing skills.
  • Confident reviewing work and supporting more junior members of the team.
  • A proactive approach and the ability to work independently.
