The Opportunity: This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Class 2 HGV Driver looking for a structured Monday-to-Friday role with regular routes, no overnight stays and the security of joining a long-established business. Our client is a leading distributor of thermoplastic sheet, rod and tubing, supplying customers throughout the fabrication, engineering and signage sectors.

The Role: You will be responsible for multi-drop deliveries to customers across Surrey, London and surrounding areas. Responsibilities include:

  • Completing approximately 10-15 customer deliveries per day
  • Delivering thermoplastic sheet, rod and tubing
  • Loading and securing the vehicle safely
  • Unloading goods at customer premises
  • Working to structured daily routes
  • Providing excellent service to regular customers
  • Carrying out daily vehicle checks
  • Operating the tachograph correctly
  • Reporting damages, discrepancies and vehicle issues
  • Maintaining a clean and presentable vehicle
  • Assisting with warehouse or loading duties where required
  • Following company Health & Safety procedures

This is a physical delivery role and applicants should be comfortable assisting with the handling of materials.

Hours: The contractual working week is 42.5 hours, Monday to Friday. Core hours are 7:00am - 4:30pm, although start and finish times can vary depending on the route. Appropriate driving breaks are taken in accordance with drivers' hours requirements.
