Class 1 Driver (Days)
Location: Rutland Area
Salary: £14.10 - £14.50 per hour
Due to continued growth, our client a leading logistics and general haulage business are seeking experienced Class 1 Day Drivers to join their transport team, delivering palletised freight using curtain-sided articulated vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
Complete deliveries and collections of palletised general haulage
Safely operate Class 1 articulated vehicles, returning to the depot daily
Ensure loads are secured and transported safely
Complete daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and records
Provide a professional service to customers at collection and delivery points
Comply with Driver Hours, Working Time Directive, and road transport legislation
Maintain high standards of vehicle care and road safety
Requirements
Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) Licence
Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
Previous Class 1 driving experience
Experience with curtain-sided trailers would be advantageous
Good understanding of Driver Hours and Working Time Regulations
ADR Licence would be advantageous
Professional and customer-focused approach
Salary & Benefits
£14.10 per hour (Class 1 Day Driver)
£14.50 per hour (Class 1 ADR Day Driver)
