Pay: Up to £65,000 per year

Role:

Registered Manager of a new residential children's home responsible for the overall leadership, management, and development of the service. Supporting children aged 8-18 with complex behavioural, emotional, and social needs. Ensuring high-quality care, safeguarding, and compliance with all regulations. Leading, managing, and developing a staff team to deliver outstanding practice. Managing referrals, occupancy levels, and placement stability. Ensuring care plans, risk assessments, and transitions are effectively managed. Liaising with Ofsted, local authorities, and external professionals. Managing budgets, staffing rotas, recruitment, and performance. Participating in an on-call rota system. Promoting children's participation, voice, and engagement in the home.

Person Specification:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards within 6 months)
  • Minimum 2 years experience in residential childcare within the last 5 years
  • At least 1 year of experience supervising or managing staff
  • Proven leadership and staff management experience
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection practice
  • Experience managing compliance, budgets, and operational performance
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships with external agencies and stakeholders
  • Full UK driving licence (desirable)
  • Experience as a Deputy or Registered Manager (desirable)
  • Experience in a new home or service development (desirable)
