We are seeking an experienced and proactive Business Operations Manager to support the Cicely Saunders Institute (CSI), within the Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing Midwifery and Palliative Care.
The post holder will be a member of the Faculty Business Operations Team and will work in close partnership with academic and professional services colleagues across the Faculty to deliver high-quality operational support.
This varied role is responsible for coordinating and overseeing a range of business functions including human resources, finance, facilities, IT, governance, and general administration.
Acting as a key point of contact for departmental operations, the successful candidate will help ensure that services are delivered efficiently, effectively, and in accordance with King's College London and NMPC?s policies and procedures.
The role holder will be based at both Denmark Hill and Waterloo and will be expected to attend site twice a week.
Key
Duties: Manage and coordinate recruitment Support managers with employment lifecycle processes such as probation and fixed term contracts Maintain accurate staff records Coordinate and oversee payments, invoicing, purchasing and procurement activities, ensuring appropriate approvals and accurate record keeping.
Support budget holders with financial monitoring, expenditure tracking and reporting.
Ensure staff have appropriate workspace, equipment and IT access to undertake their roles effectively.
Attend operational and departmental meetings and minute taking.
Support compliance with relevant University policies, procedures and governance requirements.
Provide support and cover across the Business Operations Team as required.
Undertake any other duties commensurate with the grade and responsibilities of the post as requested by the Head of Business Operations or Director of Operations
