Our client, a global electronic components and technology business, are looking for a Global Business Development Manager - Industrial to join their team on a permanent basis covering a global market, based within EMEA.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially driven business development professional to play a key strategic role in driving growth across industrial applications. The position offers the opportunity to lead global go-to-market strategies, identify new business opportunities, and work closely with international teams to influence product innovation and market direction. Salary is dependent on location and experience.
Key responsibilities of the Global Business Development Manager
Define and execute global go-to-market strategies for focus applications, including market segmentation, positioning and targeting.
Analyse emerging technology trends and competitive landscapes to identify new growth opportunities and market white spaces.
Identify and qualify new business opportunities, working closely with regional sales teams and engineering stakeholders.
Drive design-in activity, ensuring components are specified at PCB and system level within customer applications.
Take responsibility for sales revenue, market growth and gross margin performance within the industrial segment.
Translate market insights into new product initiatives and application-specific technology and product roadmaps.
Develop and qualify business opportunities through direct customer and market engagement.
Cultivate long-term relationships with Tier 1 OEMs and technology innovators to drive platform-level adoption.
Build and lead strategic partnerships to create new market opportunities.
Represent the business at global industry events, exhibitions and market workshops.
Support business case development and product specification activities.
Align application priorities and global messaging with marketing and product management teams.
Experience required for the Global Business Development Manager
Experience within Industry Management, Business Development, Product Management or Lead Customer Management within Industrial Automation.
Medical industry experience would be advantageous.
Several years of experience within the electronics, electrical or semiconductor industry.
Proven experience managing key accounts, vertical markets and executing successful go-to-market strategies.
Strong understanding of innovation management, market benchmarking and CRM systems, ideally SAP.
Excellent analytical, presentation and communication skills.
Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and collaborate effectively with R&D, Product Management, Marketing and Sales teams.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Marketing, Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Fluent English language skills.
Based within EMEA with the ability to travel globally up to 30% of the time.
Highly self-motivated with a hands-on, results-driven approach and strong commercial acumen.
