Carmelinas is looking for an experienced and reliable Breakfast Chef to join the opening team of our new restaurant in Central London.
This role requires someone who has successfully run a breakfast service before and can demonstrate this through previous employment, references and clear examples of the operation they were responsible for.
Key Responsibilities Take ownership of breakfast preparation and service.
Run a busy breakfast section confidently and efficiently.
Prepare eggs, breakfast dishes and all mise en place to a consistently high standard.
Ensure the section is fully ready before service begins.
Maintain consistency in cooking, portioning and presentation.
Work closely with the Head Chef and wider kitchen team.
Manage stock, communicate shortages and minimise waste.
Maintain excellent food hygiene, cleanliness and organisation.
Follow all allergen, food safety and Health & Safety procedures.
Support preparation for the wider restaurant operation when required.
Essential Experience Candidates must be able to demonstrate previous experience successfully running a breakfast service as a chef .
We will be looking for evidence of:
Previous responsibility for a breakfast section or breakfast operation.
Experience managing mise en place and service independently.
Confidence with eggs and high-volume breakfast cooking.
Ability to organise the section before, during and after service.
Previous employer references where appropriate.
UK Working Requirements Candidates must:
Have the legal right to work in the UK and be able to provide the required Right to Work documentation.
Be able to provide valid identification and employment documentation during onboarding.
Have a good understanding of UK food hygiene, allergen and Health & Safety requirements.
Provide evidence of relevant food safety/allergen training where available, or complete the required company training before starting.
