Johnson Controls is seeking an experienced BMS Project Manager to lead the delivery of a major BMS and Controls programme on a large, secure site. This is a high-profile, long-term project where you will take ownership of day-to-day onsite delivery, working closely with a Senior Project Manager, engineering teams, and the end customer to ensure safe, high-quality and commercially successful outcomes. This role offers strong technical challenge, project ownership, and long-term career development within a global leader in smart building solutions.

Please note: This role is site-based Monday - Friday and requires security vetting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead onsite project delivery, coordination, and progress reporting
  • Build and maintain strong client, supplier, and subcontractor relationships
  • Validate design assumptions and support costing, scope definition, and execution planning
  • Manage subcontractor performance, contracts, and commercial outcomes
  • Track and report project progress to senior stakeholders
  • Ensure HSE compliance and conduct risk assessments
  • Support and mentor junior team members

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • Proven project management experience within BMS / Building Controls
  • Track record delivering projects in the £1M-£4M+ range (ideally larger)
  • Strong commercial and financial awareness
  • Ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience leading onsite delivery teams
  • Proficient in MS Project, Excel, and Word
  • CSCS card & SSSTS (or willingness to obtain)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Eligible for security clearance

Desirable

  • Experience delivering M&E or construction-based projects
  • Knowledge of BMS platforms (e.g. Metasys, Tridium, Trend, Siemens, Schneider)
  • Understanding of HVAC systems and control strategies
