Working closely with the Sales & Marketing Director, Business Development team, Operational Management and Subject Matter Experts, you will take ownership of the bid process from initial qualification through to submission, ensuring all proposals are commercially compelling, operationally deliverable and aligned with the company's values and service offering.

This role would suit an experienced Bid Manager or Senior Bid Writer looking to take the next step within a business that actively promotes from within and rewards success.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage the end-to-end bid process from pre-qualification through to final submission.
  • Lead the production of high-quality tender responses for manned guarding and integrated security service opportunities across both public and private sector clients.
  • Work within the company's Bid Management process to ensure all submissions are compliant, commercially competitive and delivered to the highest possible standard.
  • Develop compelling bid content by collaborating with operational teams, Business Development, HR, Finance, Marketing and senior leadership.
  • Produce persuasive written responses that clearly demonstrate the company's people-first approach, operational capability and value-added security solutions.
  • Lead on complex proposals, coordinating internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality submissions within challenging deadlines.
  • Develop and maintain bid libraries, case studies and supporting documentation to improve bid efficiency and consistency.
  • Ensure all responses accurately reflect company strategy, service delivery models, compliance standards and unique selling points.
  • Review tender documentation to identify key customer requirements, evaluation criteria and commercial opportunities.
  • Develop compliance matrices and manage bid programmes to ensure all customer requirements are met.
  • Coordinate storyboard reviews, internal evaluations and bid sign-off processes.
  • Organise and chair bid review meetings, ensuring progress is maintained throughout the tender lifecycle.
  • Support the development of innovative service solutions, mobilisation strategies, workforce planning, TUPE responses and social value commitments where appropriate.
  • Submit completed tenders through customer procurement portals in accordance with all submission requirements and deadlines.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with Directors, Business Development Managers, Operational Leaders and Subject Matter Experts across the business.
  • Continuously review and improve bid processes, templates and governance to maximise efficiency and increase win rates.
  • Support post-tender reviews to identify lessons learned and drive continuous improvement.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Proofread and quality assure all bid documentation prior to submission.
  • Support the planning and management of bid resources, priorities and project timelines.
  • Assist in defining bid strategy and response structure for complex opportunities.
  • Coordinate contributions from Finance, HR, Operations, Compliance and senior stakeholders.
  • Assist with pricing schedules, mobilisation plans and supporting documentation where required.
  • Ensure all submissions comply with customer procurement processes and company governance.
  • Monitor bid progress and proactively resolve issues to ensure successful delivery.
  • Support the ongoing development of bid content libraries, evidence documents and best practice processes.
ESSENTIAL QUALITIES:
  • Proven experience within Bid Management, Bid Writing or Proposal Management.
  • Demonstrable success producing winning tender submissions.
  • Experience within Security Services, Manned Guarding, Facilities Management or another service-led environment would be highly advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of public and private sector procurement processes.
  • Excellent written English with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders and managing complex projects.
  • Previous experience managing or mentoring bid professionals would be advantageous.

  • Outstanding written communication skills with the ability to produce persuasive, customer-focused responses.
  • Ability to interpret complex tender documentation and translate requirements into compelling submissions.
