Are you a Backend Software Engineer with experience working in a Front Office trading environment?
This is an opportunity to join the Asset Management division of a global Japanese bank, playing a key role as they continue to expand their product offering in the UK.
As a Backend Software Engineer, you'll design and develop high-performance trading systems and cloud infrastructure supporting critical Front, Middle and Back Office operations.
You'll work closely with traders, investment professionals and business stakeholders to turn complex requirements into scalable, resilient technology that supports the firm's continued growth.
You'll take ownership of projects from architecture and design through to deployment, building secure, highly available systems capable of processing significant volumes of market and trading data.
Alongside hands-on Python development, you'll help drive engineering best practice, automation, Dev Ops and cloud adoption, while influencing the technical direction of the team and continuously improving the platform.
Location / WFH:
You'll be based in the London, Bank office three days a week with flexibility to work from home twice a week.
About you:
You have advanced backend Python development skills
You have a strong knowledge of AWS, Dev Ops practices, CI/CD, Containerisation
You're comfortable with occasional front end work
You have experience of owning the end-to-end software delivery lifecycle, are proactive in bringing solutions problems identified
You have experience of working in Front Office trading environments
You're pragmatic with great communication skills
