The company: Driver Project Services (part of the Diales Group), is a multidisciplinary consultancy providing Project Management, Commercial Management, Planning and Specialist Dispute Services (through our sister company Diales), to the construction and engineering sectors.

As part of our growth plans in London, we are looking to recruit an Associate Director to work closely with an Operations Director across both project delivery and business growth.

The role: The position combines project delivery with business growth responsibilities including commercial leadership and project delivery. Key responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

  • Lead commercial management across a range of construction and engineering projects.
  • Manage contracts, variations, procurement and reporting to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to project teams.
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring strong relationships and high-quality delivery.
  • Support and deputise for the Operational Director where required.
  • Support business development activities, including client engagement and opportunity identification.
  • Build and develop your professional network within the industry.
  • Contribute to bids, proposals and client presentations.
  • Work alongside senior leadership to help grow the London business.

Key candidate criteria:

  • A strong background in Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management.
  • Experience operating at Senior Commercial Manager level or above, with the ambition to step into an Associate Director role.
  • Experience within a main contractor or PQS / consultancy environment.
  • Solid knowledge of contract management, procurement, variations and reporting.
  • Working knowledge of NEC3, NEC4 and/or JCT contracts.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive, ambitious mindset with an interest in developing business and client relationships.
