We are currently recruiting for an Asset Risk Manager to join a leading facilities management organisation, supporting a large and diverse estate across London.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineering professional who wants to move away from purely operational engineering and take on a more strategic, analytical role. The position is predominantly home based, with limited travel required across the region.

About the Role

You'll be responsible for looking at how engineering assets are performing across the estate and identifying where there may be opportunities to improve reliability, compliance or efficiency. Using maintenance information, asset data and technical feedback from engineers and contractors, you'll assess trends and recurring issues before producing recommendations and reports for relevant stakeholders. You'll work closely with engineering teams, technical specialists, contractors and project teams, using your technical knowledge to understand problems and determine the appropriate course of action. Where an issue can't be resolved remotely, you'll attend site to investigate further alongside the relevant technical teams.

About You

We're looking for someone with a strong engineering background who is comfortable working with both technical information and data. This could be someone currently working as an:

  • Engineering Manager
  • Technical Services Manager
  • Engineering Supervisor
  • Lead Engineer
  • Senior Maintenance Engineer
  • Asset Manager / Asset Surveyor
  • Building Services Engineer
  • Facilities or Technical Manager

You don't need to have held an Asset Risk Manager position previously. We're particularly interested in engineers who have developed an interest in asset management, performance, compliance or lifecycle planning.

Key Requirements

  • Strong engineering knowledge within M&E, building services or a related discipline
  • Good understanding of engineering assets and maintenance
  • Experience analysing maintenance or asset information
  • Strong Excel and general IT skills
  • Able to identify trends and investigate recurring engineering issues
  • Confident producing technical reports
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to work independently in a home-based position
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Willingness to travel when required
  • Ability to obtain BPSS clearance

This is a home-based role, ideally suited to candidates located around North of London.
