Friday: 8.00am - 1.00pm We are recruiting for an Assembly Operative to join a well-established engineering manufacturer based in Poole, Dorset.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly and supportive production team manufacturing high-quality precision engineered products for a range of industries.

The position is offered on an ongoing temporary basis, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate based on performance and business requirements.

Whether you already have assembly experience or are looking to develop your skills within engineering manufacturing, this role offers excellent training and long-term career prospects.

The Role Working within a busy production environment, you'll be involved in a variety of assembly and finishing tasks to ensure products are manufactured to the highest quality standards.

Your duties may include: Assembling components and sub-assemblies by following work instructions and engineering procedures.

Coil winding and basic mechanical assembly.

Finishing products ready for inspection and packing.

Kit picking components and materials for production.

Cleaning components and completed assemblies.

Carrying out basic product testing to defined procedures.

Packing finished products and preparing them for dispatch.

Assisting with soldering duties where required.

Recording production information accurately.

Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.

Supporting colleagues and assisting with the training of new team members where appropriate.

The Ideal Candidate We're looking for someone who has: Previous experience within manufacturing or assembly (preferred but not essential).

Good manual dexterity and excellent hand-eye coordination.

The ability to follow written work instructions accurately.

Excellent attention to detail and quality.

Good communication skills.

Basic computer literacy.

A flexible and reliable approach to work.

A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
