Are you an Aspiring Speech and Language Therapist with a patient, enthusiastic approach and a strong interest in supporting children with SEND? A highly regarded school in Hounslow is looking to appoint a SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs from September.
This full-time role is ideal for a Psychology graduate or someone from a related background looking to gain valuable school-based experience before progressing into Speech and Language Therapy, Educational Psychology, or another child-focused profession. The school has a strong SEND provision and a supportive staff team that works closely with pupils with Autism, speech and communication needs, ADHD, and SEMH. This role will provide hands-on experience supporting students both in and outside of the classroom.
The criteria to get this job will include:
- Aspiring Speech and Language Therapist or Educational Psychologist
- Psychology Graduate or graduate from a related subject
- Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable
- Passionate about supporting pupils with SEND and communication needs
- Strong communication skills and a calm, patient approach
- Confident supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis
