Job Responsibilities
Undertake asbestos sampling and analysis in line with relevant UK standards and company procedures.
Prepare and process samples for laboratory testing, ensuring correct labelling, chain of custody, and documentation.
Analyse results accurately and produce clear, professional findings for inclusion in reports.
Maintain high standards of quality control and ensure work is carried out safely and consistently.
Support survey and management activities by providing technical input where required.
Review documentation for completeness and compliance, escalating any issues promptly.
Maintain accurate records of samples, results, and reporting activity in accordance with internal systems.
Work collaboratively with surveyors, project teams, and clients to ensure timely delivery of outputs.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience as an Asbestos Analyst or in a closely related asbestos testing role.
Strong knowledge of asbestos sampling and analysis practices, including safe handling and accurate documentation.
Ability to interpret laboratory results and produce clear, technically sound reporting.
Working knowledge of UK asbestos guidance and compliance expectations (including relevant sampling and analytical standards).
Relevant certification and/or accreditation for asbestos analysis (as applicable to the role and methods used).
Competence in maintaining chain of custody, sample tracking, and quality assurance processes.
Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical findings clearly to stakeholders.
Good IT skills for report writing and maintaining records in internal systems.
