Senior AI Platform Engineer Overview
We are looking for a Senior AI Platform Engineer to help design, develop, and expand our internal AI platform, supporting cybersecurity analysts through intelligent workflows, automation, integrations, and AI-assisted capabilities. The role involves building scalable AI-driven services, integrating with enterprise security technologies, and contributing to the evolution of a modern platform that combines software engineering, cloud services, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity. The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex technical problems, can work across multiple technologies, and is comfortable learning new tools and frameworks as the platform evolves.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain AI-driven platform capabilities.
- Build scalable backend services and APIs.
- Develop workflow orchestration and automation capabilities.
- Design integrations with enterprise security and operational platforms.
- Build connectors to third-party products and cloud services.
- Develop reusable components and SDKs that can be shared across multiple applications.
- Contribute to platform architecture, design discussions, and technical direction.
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies and determine how they can be incorporated into the platform.
- Work closely with security analysts to understand operational challenges and translate them into technical solutions.
- Produce maintainable, well-tested, and well-documented code.
- Participate in technical reviews and architectural discussions.
Required Skills
Software Engineering
- Strong software engineering fundamentals.
- Experience designing modular, maintainable systems.
- Experience building REST APIs and backend services.
- Experience developing reusable libraries or frameworks.
- Experience working with asynchronous and event-driven systems.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
Development
- Strong Experience in one or more modern software development technologies, such as: Python, TypeScript, Go.
- Experience learning new languages, frameworks, and technologies quickly is considered equally valuable.
Artificial Intelligence
- Experience working with modern AI technologies, including some of the following: Large Language Models (LLMs), AI agents, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), Prompt engineering, Structured outputs, AI workflow orchestration, Model evaluation, AI governance and safety.
- Experience with multiple AI providers is desirable.
Cloud & Platform Engineering
- Experience with cloud-native development, such as Azure or AWS, including: Storage services, Authentication and identity, Queues or messaging, Serverless or container-based workloads, Monitoring and observability, Secure application development.
API & Integration Development
- Experience integrating with third-party platforms using REST APIs, SDKs, or webhooks.
- Experience building integrations with enterprise systems is highly desirable.
Security
- Good understanding of cybersecurity concepts, such as: SIEM, SOAR, Identity and Access Management, Threat Detection, Incident Response, Authentication and Authorization.
- Experience with offensive security techniques, adversary emulation, or penetration testing is beneficial but not required.
Desirable Experience
- Experience with one or more of the following is beneficial: Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender, ServiceNow, SOAR platforms, MITRE ATT&CK, Detection Engineering, Security Operations (SOC).
Nice to Have
- Experience building AI platforms rather than standalone AI applications.
- Experience designing workflow engines or orchestration systems.
- Experience developing SDKs or internal developer platforms.
- Experience with vector search or semantic search.
- Experience working with structured data pipelines.
- Experience designing scalable cloud architectures.
