AI is moving beyond experimentation and this consultancy is helping some of the UK's largest organisations turn AI ambition into real-world capability. We're looking for an experienced AI Architect to join a growing AI practice, designing and delivering secure, scalable and production-ready AI solutions across enterprise environments.

This is a role for someone who understands that successful AI transformation requires more than selecting the latest models. It requires strong architecture, robust data foundations, governance, security, and the ability to translate emerging technologies into measurable business outcomes.

Working across Generative AI, Agentic AI, Machine Learning and enterprise data platforms, you'll help organisations move from AI strategy and proof-of-concept through to scalable production adoption. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders, technical teams and delivery specialists to define AI architectures, establish best practices and shape how enterprise AI is built and deployed.

This is not a role focused purely on governance or architecture documentation. You'll remain close to the technology, influencing design decisions, guiding delivery teams and helping build solutions that create genuine business impact.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll lead the architecture and delivery of enterprise AI solutions across the full lifecycle from discovery and strategy through to implementation and scale. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing enterprise-scale Generative AI, Agentic AI and Machine Learning architectures
  • Creating AI solutions using Microsoft Foundry / Azure AI Foundry and Copilot Studio (essential)
  • Defining AI platforms, frameworks and reference architectures for large organisations
  • Designing intelligent agent solutions, AI assistants and LLM-powered applications
  • Developing secure and governed AI approaches aligned with Responsible AI principles
  • Advising senior stakeholders on AI strategy, technology choices and investment decisions
  • Supporting client engagements from early discovery through production deployment
  • Creating reusable AI accelerators, patterns and delivery frameworks
  • Providing technical leadership and guidance to engineering and delivery teams
  • Supporting the continued growth and maturity of the AI consulting practice

Technology Environment

You'll work across a modern Microsoft-focused AI ecosystem including:

  • Microsoft Foundry / Azure AI Foundry (mandatory experience)
  • Microsoft Copilot Studio (mandatory experience)
  • Azure AI Services
  • Azure OpenAI Service
  • Microsoft Agent Framework
  • Semantic Kernel
  • Power Platform
  • Enterprise Data Platforms
  • Azure Machine Learning
  • Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
  • Large Language Models (LLMs)
  • Agentic AI architectures
  • LangChain / LangGraph
  • MLOps & LLMOps
  • Cloud-native architectures
  • Data governance and security frameworks

What We're Looking For

You'll likely be operating as an AI Architect, Lead AI Consultant, Principal AI Engineer, Principal Data Scientist or similar senior AI leadership role. You'll bring:

  • Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise AI solutions in production environments
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft / Azure AI Foundry and Copilot Studio (essential)
  • Deep understanding of Generative AI, LLM architectures, RAG and AI agents
  • Experience building AI solutions beyond proof-of-concept into scalable production services
  • Strong Azure and Microsoft ecosystem expertise
  • Experience with AI governance, security, data privacy and Responsible AI principles
  • Understanding of modern data platforms and AI-ready data architectures
  • Experience working with senior technical and business stakeholders
  • Strong consulting skills with the ability to translate complex AI concepts into business outcomes
  • The ability to provide technical leadership while remaining close to delivery

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

AI is not an experiment here it is a strategic investment area with executive sponsorship, significant client demand and a growing pipeline of enterprise transformation programmes. You'll have the opportunity to:

  • Work on complex AI challenges at enterprise scale
  • Design solutions using the latest Microsoft AI technologies
  • Influence AI adoption across major organisations
  • Work alongside leading specialists across AI, data and cloud
  • Shape reusable AI frameworks and best practices
  • Continue developing your expertise through certifications, innovation and training

The AI market is crowded with organisations experimenting, this opportunity is with a business that's already delivering. If you're ready to architect AI solutions that operate at enterprise scale and shape the next generation of intelligent systems, we'd love to hear from you.
