Advantage Angels is seeking a dedicated and experienced Agency Chef to join our team, working flexibly across care homes and private hospitals UK-wide. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing food preparation, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment.
This role offers an exciting opportunity for a culinary professional with leadership skills to contribute across a variety of healthcare settings. The Agency Chef will play a pivotal role in maintaining food safety standards and delivering exceptional service to clients.
Duties
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring efficient food production and service delivery
- Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes according to organisational standards and client specifications
- Oversee food safety practices, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in line with health regulations
- Coordinate with clients to meet specific culinary requirements
- Ensure all food preparation adheres to organisational recipes and presentation standards
- Maintain a positive working environment that promotes teamwork and high performance
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food production, cooking, or hospitality roles, preferably within restaurant or catering environments
- Level 3 Food Safety required
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene and sanitation
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Competence in team management, motivating staff, and fostering a collaborative work environment
- Good understanding of culinary techniques across various cuisines
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant sectors is highly desirable
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards
