This particular role is based at our Bakkavor Salads Bo\’ness site, which employs over 1,000 people and produces food-to-go salads and salad accompaniments to a number of customers. It is located 3.5 miles from Linlithgow and 8 miles to Falkirk. About the role. In this busy, exciting and hands on role, you will lead a section of the Logistics team, ensuring that products are received, stored and shipped accurately and efficiently in line with site procedures, GMP and H&S. As Logistics Section Leader you will manage and control all materials handling equipment and transport within your area. As well as ensuring mechanisms are in place and supported to provide effective communication to all levels and conduct team briefs on a regular basis. You will also need to manage improvement activities including KPIs, waste management and production control processes and associated administration and record keeping. A key part of the role will be to maintain all stock systems within your area of control to ensure stock takes and reconciliation are conducted in a timely fashion and all systems are accurate and up to date. Accountabilities: Complete Return to Work interviews, attend daily review meetings and team briefings. Constructively challenge performance of area – quality, throughput rate and crew size. Identify performance management / training requirements within the area and manage the process / delivery An ability to work to Safety & Quality standards, with the ability to work with other functions About you. To be successful in this role you will need to be a positive and motivated team player that possesses strong leadership skills. The role requires you to pay attention to detail. Ideally you will have previous experience within logistics and warehouse. Communication skills are key to this role as well as having good IT skills for administrative duties as and when needed. Building strong relationships with other areas of the business is important as you will liaise with them on a day-to-day basis. What you\’ll receive.
