We have exciting opportunity for QA to join Our Team at the Llanidloes site.
Shift Monday - Friday
Job Purpose
Through visual inspection and monitoring to ensure that all dressed carcasses are presented to the required standard to meet agreed customer specifications in accordance with current industry standard and legislative requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance & Compliance
Ensure that a range of routine tasks associated with the inspection of carcases and monitoring activities eg product temperature/dentition/label checks are performed at the defined frequency in accordance with the appropriate standard operating procedure.
Maintain and uphold internal and external QA standards.
Verify production paperwork and ensure document control on the factory floor.
Conduct quality checks, label verification, and temperature monitoring.
Undertake the scanning of lamb carcase tickets onto the HCS system as a result of extensive trimming being carried out whilst held on the detain line.
Responsible for ensuring all tasks are carried out within the allocated work area, are done so in a manner to protect product safety, legality, authenticity and quality in accordance with the Food Safety Quality Management Systems (FSQM) & Health & Safety procedures.
Be ambassador for and promote a food safety & quality culture by their visible presence on site demonstrating behaviours and reinforcing our commitment to the highest standards at all times.
Liaise when required, with internal departments and external bodies such as the Foods Standards Agency (FSA), Official Veterinary (OV) to ensure site compliance.
