Lead the Launch of a Brand-New Domiciliary Care Service

Are you an experienced Registered Manager looking for the opportunity to build and shape a new service from the ground up? We are recruiting on behalf of an established and ambitious domiciliary care provider that is expanding into Scotland and launching a brand-new service in the Livingston area. The organisation brings vast experience within domiciliary care, including successfully opening and developing services in new geographical areas. They have established strong working relationships with local authorities throughout the Northumberland area and are now bringing that experience, infrastructure and proven approach to Livingston.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced care professional to play a pivotal role in establishing the new service, developing relationships locally and building a high-quality operation with genuine potential for growth.

The Role

As Registered Manager, you will take ownership of the development and day-to-day management of the Livingston service. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the launch, development and growth of the new service
  • Ensuring full compliance with Care Inspectorate and SSSC requirements
  • Recruiting, developing and leading a high-quality care team
  • Overseeing care planning, safeguarding, audits and quality assurance
  • Building strong relationships with local authorities, commissioners, healthcare professionals and referral partners
  • Managing staffing, rotas, resources and on-call arrangements
  • Driving continuous improvement and maintaining excellent standards of person-centred care
  • Supporting business development and identifying opportunities to grow the service across the local area

About You

We are looking for an experienced and commercially aware care professional who understands both quality care delivery and the development of a successful domiciliary care service. You will need:

  • Previous management or deputy management experience within domiciliary and/or residential care
  • Strong knowledge of Scottish care regulations and Care Inspectorate requirements
  • To be registered, or eligible to register, with the SSSC as a Manager of a Care Service
  • An appropriate social care practice qualification
  • A suitable management qualification at SCQF Level 9 or above
  • Strong leadership, safeguarding and quality assurance experience
  • The confidence to build relationships with commissioners and local authorities
  • A full UK driving licence
  • The ambition and drive to help establish and grow a service in a completely new geographical area
  • Experience of opening, developing or growing a domiciliary care service would be particularly advantageous.

What's on Offer?

  • £45,000 - £48,000 basic salary
  • Bupa private health insurance
  • 28 days' holiday
  • Company pension
  • Comprehensive induction and ongoing professional development
  • Management support and reflective practice
  • Genuine career progression as the organisation continues to expand
  • The opportunity to have a major influence on a brand-new service from day one

A Genuine Opportunity to Build Something

This isn't simply about stepping into an established service and maintaining it. You'll have the opportunity to build the Livingston operation, develop its reputation locally and help shape its future growth. You'll be joining an organisation that already understands how to successfully establish domiciliary care services in new areas and work effectively with local authorities - giving you the backing and infrastructure to make the Livingston service a success.
