Livingston People Solutions are currently recruiting for a 7.5T Driver to join our well-established client, delivering sofas and furniture directly to customers' homes and flats. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced driver who is comfortable with the physical side of furniture delivery.

The role involves working as part of a delivery team and will include heavy lifting and carrying sofas and furniture up and down stairs, so candidates must be comfortable with manual handling throughout the day.

Shifts: 4 days from 6, on a rota basis 6:00am - 6:00pm No Sunday working Rota provided in advance

Rates of Pay: £16.84 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties:

  • Driving a 7.5T vehicle safely and responsibly
  • Delivering sofas and furniture to customers' homes and flats
  • Loading and unloading furniture from the vehicle
  • Carrying sofas and heavy furniture items into customers' properties
  • Manoeuvring furniture through doorways, hallways and staircases
  • Carrying furniture up and down stairs where required
  • Working as part of a delivery team to complete daily routes
  • Providing a professional and friendly service to customers
  • Completing vehicle checks and relevant delivery paperwork
  • Ensuring goods are handled safely and securely at all times

Essential Skills:

  • Valid UK Category C1 / 7.5T driving licence
  • Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
  • Previous 7.5T driving experience preferred
  • Comfortable with heavy lifting
  • Must be able to lift and manoeuvre sofas and heavy furniture items
  • Comfortable carrying furniture up and down stairs
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Reliable, punctual and professional
  • Ability to work well as part of a team

Desirable Experience: Previous experience in furniture delivery, removals, home delivery or a similar role would be advantageous.

Training: Full paid site induction and ongoing support will be provided.
