Are you a Wind Turbine Service Engineer with experience working on wind turbines, looking to join a growing renewable energy specialist offering excellent earning potential, Vestas training and long-term progression? This established renewable energy specialist provides nationwide operation, maintenance and technical support for onshore wind turbines across the UK. With a strong reputation for O&M, performance optimisation and technical upgrades, the company continues to grow and offers excellent opportunities for engineers looking to develop their careers within the renewable energy sector.
In this role, you will carry out planned and reactive maintenance on onshore wind turbines across the UK. Working from either a mechanical or electrical background, you will be responsible for servicing, inspections, fault-finding, repairs and component replacement. You will also receive specialist Vestas training to further develop your technical skills.
This role would suit a Wind Turbine Engineer, Wind Turbine Technician or Service Engineer with proven wind turbine experience who is looking for a varied, field-based role with strong earning potential and further technical development.
The Role
- Planned and reactive maintenance on onshore wind turbines
- Service, inspect and fault-find turbine systems
- Diagnose and repair mechanical or electrical faults
- Repair and replace turbine components to OEM standards
- Support hydraulic, mechanical and electrical works where required
- Complete service reports and maintenance documentation
- Work safely at height across remote wind farm sites
- National travel across the UK with weekly stayaways as required
- Door-to-door pay and unlimited overtime
- Monday-Friday, with no on-call rota
- Specialist Vestas training and ongoing development
The Person
- Proven experience working on wind turbines is essential
- Mechanical or electrical engineering background
- Comfortable working at height and in remote environments
- Full UK driving licence
- Willing to travel nationally and stay away during the week
