Are you an experienced safeguarding professional looking for a role where you can genuinely influence culture, practice and outcomes? I'm recruiting for a Safeguarding Lead on behalf of a well-established charity. This is an opportunity to take ownership of safeguarding across a complex organisation, ensuring robust policies, effective case management and a culture where safeguarding is embedded into everyday practice.

This role would suit someone who is confident in managing complex safeguarding concerns, advising senior leaders and working collaboratively with external agencies to protect children, young people and adults at risk.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead on safeguarding casework, risk assessment and risk management
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to senior leaders and stakeholders
  • Promote and embed a positive safeguarding culture across the organisation
  • Develop and deliver safeguarding training and awareness programmes
  • Work closely with statutory agencies and external safeguarding partners
  • Monitor safeguarding activity, analyse trends and drive continuous improvement
  • Support the development of policies, procedures and best practice

About you:

You'll have experience leading safeguarding activity within a complex organisation and be confident balancing operational case management with strategic safeguarding leadership.

You'll bring:

  • Significant safeguarding experience involving children and/or vulnerable adults
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation, policy and best practice
  • Experience advising senior managers, trustees or governance groups
  • Excellent risk assessment and decision-making skills
  • A trauma-informed and person-centred approach
  • Strong relationship-building and influencing skills
  • Experience working with external agencies including social care, police or regulatory bodies
