As a Business Development Manager - Intermodal, you will be accountable for the commercial development of the Deep Sea Inland Carrier Haulage Product in the UK & Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively engage with Commercial teams and customers to identify their Intermodal requirements.
- Design and implement customer-specific Intermodal setups.
- Propose operational/commercial improvements.
- Build and manage relationships with key external stakeholders, including customers, hauliers, depot operators, and ports.
- Act as a key point of contact for Senior management regarding intermodal commercial matters.
- Ensure Inland Pricing strategy aligns with market conditions and update Group Tariff as required.
- Provide daily Inland haulage quotes.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement by reviewing processes and recommending improvements.
- Promote ILS UK & Ireland products and services to internal stakeholders.
- Deputise for other ILS Management team members as required.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Extensive experience within the transport/logistics industry.
- Demonstrable commercial/business development experience.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with stakeholders.
- Strong personal resilience and organisational skills.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Strong geographical knowledge of the UK.
- Full UK driving licence with flexibility to travel.
