Regional Recruitment are recruiting for a Supply Chain Planner on behalf of a well-established global manufacturer and supplier of industrial goods. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has gained experience supporting a supply chain, procurement, or buying function and is looking to develop their career within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Working closely with procurement, production, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, you'll play a key role in ensuring materials are available to meet customer demand while maintaining efficient stock levels and supporting the wider supply chain operation.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Previous experience within a Supply Chain, Procurement, Purchasing, or Buying Support role
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across departments and with suppliers
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office packages

Desirable:

  • Experience working within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Knowledge of ERP or MRP systems
  • Understanding of inventory planning and demand forecasting

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and scheduling of materials to ensure production requirements are met.
  • Monitor inventory levels, raising purchase requisitions and liaising with suppliers to maintain continuity of supply.
  • Work closely with the procurement and buying teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
  • Maintain accurate planning data, stock records, and supplier information within the ERP system.
  • Assist with demand forecasting and inventory analysis to optimise stock levels and minimise shortages.
  • Track supplier performance and follow up on overdue orders to minimise disruption.
  • Collaborate with production, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Produce reports and analyse supply chain data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain function.
