About the Role
We are recruiting a proactive Chef Manager to take full operational ownership of the catering service within a residential care home in the LN2 area. This role is ideal for an experienced kitchen manager who takes pride in producing fresh, home-cooked food for residents while running an organized, compliant kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
- Design daily menus that are both appetizing and aligned with residents' nutritional needs.
- Lead and schedule kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative working environment.
- Control kitchen budgets, stock levels, waste management, and ordering.
- Enforce all Food Hygiene, Health & Safety, and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Essential: Direct management/head chef experience within a care home or healthcare environment.
- Food Hygiene Level 3 (preferred) or Level 2 certification.
- Comprehensive understanding of care sector food guidelines, texture-modified foods, and allergen safety.
- Strong communication and team management abilities.
