The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established furniture business. We are looking for multiple Van Drivers to join the team on a temp to perm basis.
Location: Lichfield, WS13
Job Type: 13 Week Temp to Perm
Pay Rates: £13.40 per hour, increased to £13.82 per hour upon successful completion of probation
Hours & Shift Patterns: Monday to Friday, rotational shifts between days and afternoons
- 06:00 start approximately 14:30 finish
- 14:00 start approximately 22:00 finish
Full-time ongoing work available.
The Role:
- Multi-drop delivery work across commercial and residential locations
- Delivering furniture and household items including sofas, cabinets and other home furnishings
- Up to 13 drops per day
- Mixture of doorstep deliveries and room of choice deliveries
- Some deliveries will involve furniture assembly within customers' homes
- Double manned vehicle crews
- Drivers typically complete around 4 hours driving before swapping driving duties
- Operating manual transmission vehicles
- Providing excellent customer service at delivery points
- Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and efficiently
Requirements:
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Minimum 2 years driving experience required
- Maximum 6 points for minor offences only
- Comfortable with manual handling and heavy items
- Good customer service skills
- Reliable, professional and flexible approach to work
- Must be able to work both day and afternoon shifts on a rotational basis
