Health and Safety Manager - £50-£55k + Benefits – Manufacturing – Nr Sizewell – ID: 11670
Principal People are currently partnered with a reputable manufacturing organisation who are looking for a Health and Safety Manager on an initial 12-month FTC with further potential for a long-term career opportunity. This will be a site based role with and is to pay the successful candidate a salary of £50-55k + Benefits.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the role of Health and Safety Manager will be responsible for leading, developing and implementing H&S policies and procedures across a manufacturing environment, conducting operational risk assessments and hazard control, maintaining a strong visible presence across the factory floor, work collaboratively with site mangers, engineering and compliance teams to ensure ongoing compliance and promote a positive, proactive safety culture across the business amongst other relevant duties.
The successful Health and Manager will:
- Hold a NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent as a minimum
- Hold experience in manufacturing, food production or similar environments
- A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Be open to a 12-month FTC
- A practical, solutions-based approach to implementing safety procedures.
- Be an engaging and communicative individual able to liaise at all levels from shop floor to senior management.
