Are you a Design Manager with a background in Structural Steel looking to manage a smaller team of elite Engineers for a forward-thinking business, who have more than doubled turnover the last two years and are well on track to do so again?
Do you want to work for a manufacturer & service provider who offer a unique, full package suit of products and services that enables them to grow rapidly where others have fallen short?
In this role you will be reporting into the Directors and be ultimately responsible that designs are completed in a timely manner whilst leading a small team of three Design Engineers. This will involve working with in-house project managers and main contractors on a variety of projects within the Residential, Logistics and Commercial sectors.
This company is going through a period of rapid change and growth. Having found their niche, they are looking to a highly profitable future. Established within the last decade and an internal team of 50 staff, they handle projects from concept-to-completion providing steel stock, custom fabrication, estimation, design and build.
This role would suit an ambitious Design Director looking to join a smaller but rapidly growing business that can offer responsibility and autonomy as an instrumental member of the leadership team.
The Role:
- Managing a small team of Design Engineers and 3D CAD Designers
- Ensuring deadlines are hit and projects are on time
- Checking design work and providing training & guidance to the team
- Liaising with internal Project Manager and Blue-Client end clients
The Person:
- Design Manager or similar
- Structural Steel background
- Knowledge of Advanced Steel or Tekla
