Semi-Senior Accountant
Leigh-on-Sea, Essex £28,000£35,000 per year (DOE) Full-time | Permanent
We're looking for an experienced Semi-Senior Accountant to join our expanding team in Leigh-on-Sea. If you have at least two years' experience working within an accountancy practice and are looking to progress your career in a supportive and professional environment, we'd love to hear from you.
This is an excellent opportunity to work with a varied client portfolio while developing your technical skills and taking on increasing responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
As a Semi-Senior Accountant, you'll be involved in a wide range of accounting duties, including:
Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger
Nominal Ledger reconciliations
Payroll processing
CIS Returns
Assisting Senior Accountants with client accounts and general practice work
Supporting a varied portfolio of clients across multiple sectors
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
Essential
At least 2 years' experience working within an accountancy practice
Good working knowledge of Sage, Xero, QuickBooks and other cloud accounting software
Experience with Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, Payroll and CIS Returns
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills and the ability to manage your workload effectively
Desirable
AAT qualified, ACA/ACCA part-qualified, qualified, or Qualified by Experience (QBE)
Experience working with a varied client portfolio
