We are looking for an SEO Executive to join our Total Platform team at NEXT, based from NEXT Head Office in Leicestershire!
You may know NEXT, the UK and International e Commerce and retail giant, but did you know we are also experiencing rapid growth with our Total Platform business model.
We fully manage websites for Victorias Secret (UK & Ireland), REISS, GAP (UK), Jo Jo Maman Bébé, Joules & Fat Face.
About the Role
Youll be part of NEXTs fast growing SEO team - our largest online channel.
This is a content led role with roughly a 60/40 split between copywriting and SEO, focused primarily on page optimisation.
Any technical SEO knowledge would be a welcome bonus.
Leveraging keyword research, you will write engaging, on-brand content for NEXT and our Total Platform partner brands.
You will also be instrumental in implementing the wider organic strategy across Total Platforms brand portfolio.
Its a hands-on role with the support of the wider SEO team.
What youll take on
Create high-quality content across our portfolio of websites, including editorials, on-page copy, category descriptions, metadata, and blog content.
Write in each brands tone of voice, maintaining consistency across all output.
Conduct keyword research and gap analysis to identify content opportunities and optimise existing pages.
Use SEO tools and keyword research data to improve and optimise existing content across our websites.
Work with the SEO team to build and maintain a content optimisation roadmap.
Support content strategy for link building campaigns and new Total Platform client onboarding.
Collaborate with internal copywriting teams and external agencies, sharing SEO best practice.
Keep stakeholders informed on progress through regular reporting and clear communication.
What youll bring
Proven SEO experience, in-house or at an agency.
Excellent writing skills with a genuine passion for content creation.
Experience creating on-brand content informed by keyword research and competitor analysis.
Comfortable using tools such as SEMRush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Search Console, and similar.
Experience working on SEO for ecommerce websites.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects under pressure.
Up to date with current SEO trends including E-E-A-T, Core Web Vitals, and AI developments.
A team player who communicates well at all levels of the business.
Must have a flexible attitude and the ability to work under pressure.
Working on successful SEO projects for ecommerce sites.
Track record of analysing SEO trends and opportunities, providing and implementing recommendations to improve visibility within SERPs.
Desirable
Experience with large B2C or fashion/lifestyle e Commerce brands.
International SEO experience, including content optimisation across multiple markets and languages.
