The Role You'll lead a team of 25+ across CNC machining and grinding, driving improvements in quality, cost, delivery, productivity and safety .
The business is looking for someone with strong day-to-day manufacturing leadership with a forward-thinking approach to Lean, change management, CAPEX and modern manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities Lead, develop and motivate the machine shop team to achieve quality, cost and on-time delivery targets
Take ownership of CNC machining and grinding operations, ensuring efficient use of people, equipment and capacity
Drive Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement and change initiatives across the operation
Manage and improve manufacturing KPIs, identifying opportunities to increase productivity and reduce waste
Support CAPEX, equipment upgrades, new technology and longer-term manufacturing improvement projects
About You 5+ years' experience leading a machine shop, CNC machining or precision engineering manufacturing environment
Strong technical understanding of CNC machining, grinding, materials and manufacturing processes
Proven experience delivering Lean, Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma or Kaizen initiatives
Strong people leadership skills with experience managing and developing sizeable manufacturing teams
Degree, HNC, HND or equivalent experience in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Production Engineering
