We are working with an established, design-led brunch concept with a strong reputation for quality coffee, exceptional food, and outstanding service. They are now seeking a hands-on General Manager to lead operations, inspire the front-of-house team, and deliver consistently high standards across every aspect of the business.

The Role

The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring smooth service from open to close, and maintaining the brand's reputation for excellence. This role requires a leader who can combine operational precision with service warmth, someone equally comfortable managing compliance and financial reporting as they are stepping behind the bar to set the standard for coffee quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the FOH team to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
  • Oversee operational standards, presentation, and compliance across FOH and BOH.
  • Operate confidently at barista maestro level, mentoring and training staff in coffee and service.
  • Manage scheduling, team performance, and staff development.
  • Ensure EHO, food hygiene, and safety compliance is consistently maintained.
  • Support owners with financial and operational reporting, including stock, supplier orders, and cost control.
  • Contribute to events and private hire operations as required.

The Ideal Candidate

  • At least 2 years management experience in a premium café, brunch, or boutique hospitality setting.
  • Advanced barista skills with strong knowledge of espresso calibration, milk texturing, and workflow.
  • Strong understanding of food safety and EHO compliance.
  • Organised, professional, and composed under pressure.
  • Passionate about people, food, and coffee.
  • Weekend availability is essential.
