Our client, a highly regarded and established fashion supplier based in Leicester, is seeking a talented Designer / Senior Designer to join their growing Girlswear team, specialising in jersey and nightwear.
This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and commercially focused designer with a strong understanding of the childrenswear market and a passion for developing trend-led, customer-focused collections.
Working with leading UK retailers, the successful candidate will have the ability to translate emerging trends into commercially successful products across girlswear nightwear and jersey categories.

Responsibilities
Will
Include: Designing and developing trend-led girlswear collections across nightwear and jersey, covering a range of age groups.
Creating innovative, commercially viable product concepts that align with customer briefs and market trends.
Conducting regular trend research, competitor analysis, and market shopping to identify key trends, colours, fabrics, prints, and silhouettes.
Developing seasonal mood boards, trend presentations, CADs, technical sketches, and comprehensive design packs.
Presenting new concepts and seasonal ranges to both internal stakeholders and customers.
Sourcing and developing fabrics, prints, graphics, and trims that support a modern and elevated aesthetic.
Managing the design and development process from initial concept through to final sample approval.
Ensuring all designs are commercially relevant, trend-driven, and delivered within critical path deadlines.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and suppliers to support successful product development.
Person
Specification: Previous experience as a Designer or Senior Designer within childrenswear.
A strong current childrenswear portfolio.
Excellent trend forecasting skills with a strong understanding of the childrenswear market.
Strong commercial awareness with the ability to translate trends into successful retail products.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
