Location: Leek and surrounding areas

Monday to Friday opportunities available

Hours: 9am-2pm, 8am-2pm, 10am-2pm, 11am-3pm (you choose!)

Pay: £12.71 per hour

Please note, you are able to pick up other assignments that match your availability outside of term time that are available.

We're currently recruiting Catering Assistants to support a variety of catering environments, including schools, colleges, academies, care settings, business and industry sites, and other hospitality venues across the area. While we offer opportunities across a range of catering environments, the majority of our roles are within schools and educational settings, making this an excellent opportunity for those looking for regular daytime hours.

To work in many of our education-based roles, you'll need an Enhanced DBS check. If you don't already have one, we can support you with the application.

What you'll be doing:

  • Assisting with the preparation and service of food and drinks
  • Serving pupils, students, staff, and visitors during meal services
  • Operating tills and handling transactions
  • Clearing and cleaning tables and dining areas
  • Unpacking and storing deliveries
  • Washing dishes and maintaining clean kitchen areas
  • Following food hygiene and health & safety standards
  • Providing friendly, efficient customer service

What we're looking for:

  • Food Hygiene Level 2 (dated within the last 3 years)
  • Willingness to help with cleaning and general kitchen duties
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Clear communication skills
  • Reliable, motivated, and hard-working attitude
  • Previous catering experience is helpful but not essential
