Senior Cyber Security Engineer - Up to £70K - Leeds (3 days a week in the office)
This established international law firm in Leeds is looking for a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to take the reins on their security strategy.
The Senior Cyber Security Engineer will be responsible for strengthening security across the firm, you'll protect client data and critical systems having excellent experience with Microsoft Sentinel, azure and Security Copilot.
You will be in the office 3 days a week.
What you'll bring:
A minimum of 5 years' hands-on SOC experience - threat detection, incident response, and a track record of continuous improvement
Solid working knowledge of SIEM, EDR, and vulnerability management platforms
Comfort using AI tools (Claude, Copilot, Chat GPT) as part of your day-to-day toolkit
Strong Azure expertise
Bonus points if you've worked in legal or another regulated sector.
What you'll be doing:
Owning the design and rollout of security controls across the firm's infrastructure
Detecting, investigating, and responding to incidents and vulnerabilities as they arise
Running risk assessments, audits, and pen tests - then fixing what they uncover
Writing and maintaining security policies, procedures, and disaster recovery plans that meet regulatory standards
Becoming the firm's trusted voice on all things cyber, briefing stakeholders and leadership
Managing external vendor and partner relationships
Championing security awareness through training across the business
Keeping tabs on emerging threats and legal-sector compliance changes
