RPG Software Developer Hybrid - Mainly on client site in Leeds and occasional office visit in Milton Keynes Start Date - September 2026 £60,000 - £65,000 + Bonus & Benefits Are you an experienced RPG Software Developer looking for an opportunity to work on business-critical applications for well-known organisations across multiple industries?

We are looking for an RPG Software Developer to join our growing Software Development team.

You'll play a key role in designing, developing, enhancing and supporting applications for customers across the finance, manufacturing and retail sectors, while helping to drive innovation within an experienced and collaborative development team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, building strong client relationships and contributing to projects from initial analysis through to successful delivery.

What You'll Be Doing As an RPG Developer, you will: Develop, enhance, test and support applications for a wide range of customer projects.

Analyse business requirements and design effective software solutions.

Produce technical documentation for new developments and application enhancements.

Gain a strong understanding of client business processes and application landscapes to provide effective long-term support.

Manage software changes from requirements gathering through to implementation.

Deliver training and knowledge transfer to customers where appropriate.

Required

Skills: RPG (multiple versions, including legacy and modern RPG) ILE SQL CLP IBM i OS Query 400 and DFU Experience in an IDE such as VS code or RDI Experience Commercial experience developing IBM i / RPG applications.

Experience maintaining and modernising business-critical applications.

Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle.
