Our client is one of the UK's leading specialist M&E contractors, delivering complex mechanical and electrical solutions across a diverse range of sectors nationwide. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced MEP Quantity Surveyor to join their Leeds regional team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a highly respected organisation, supporting a varied portfolio of projects across commercial, infrastructure, healthcare, education, leisure and mission-critical sectors.

Working closely with project teams, commercial managers and operational delivery teams, you will play a key role in managing the commercial performance of MEP packages from procurement through to final account.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the commercial management of mechanical and electrical packages across multiple projects.
  • Assist with cost planning, estimating, procurement and subcontractor management.
  • Manage valuations, variations, change control and payment applications.
  • Prepare and review cost reports, forecasts and commercial performance updates.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers and site teams to maximise project performance.
  • Assist with the preparation and agreement of subcontractor accounts and final accounts.
  • Review contract documents, drawings, specifications and scope requirements.
  • Monitor project costs and identify potential risks, opportunities and commercial improvements.
  • Support procurement activities including tender analysis, negotiations and subcontractor appointments.
  • Maintain accurate commercial records and ensure compliance with company procedures.
  • Build strong working relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Surveyor within the MEP / Building Services sector.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical installations and associated commercial processes.
  • Experience working for an M&E subcontractor, specialist contractor or building services organisation.
  • Good knowledge of subcontract procurement, valuations, variations and final accounts.
  • Experience working across multiple sectors and project environments would be advantageous.
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong communication, negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage workload effectively and work collaboratively within project teams.
