Due to recent company expansion, an LEV / Dust / Fume extraction specialist is recruiting for a qualified LEV Service Engineer to join their outfit. We are seeking someone with proven success within the industry, who is confident in completing testing, commissioning and installations of LEV systems. Our client has a presence across the UK, covering a range of commercial, industrial and manufacturing client contracts. It is essential that applicants are competent in producing thorough technical reports. For the successful candidate, they are offering attractive base salaries and usual benefits packages, i.e. company vehicle, overtime opportunities, pension scheme and annual leave allowance.
Ideally, you will be based around: Leeds, Garforth, Castleford, Pontefract, Normanton, Morley, Dewsbury, Batley, Brighouse, Huddersfield, Halifax, Skipton, Pudsey, Otley, Bradford, Keighley, Ilkley, Harrogate, Knaresborough, York, Tadcaster, Wetherby, Wakefield, Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham, Sheffield, Worksop, Chesterfield, Oldham, Bury, Rochdale, Manchester.
Experience / Qualifications:
- Must hold the BOHS P601 as a minimum
- Strong hands-on experience working as an LEV Engineer within a Dust / Fume specialist
- Good understanding of COSHH, HTM 0301 and HSG 258 guidelines
- Flexible to travel in line with company needs
- Able to work independently on site
- Strong literacy, numeracy and IT skills
The Role:
- Installing and commissioning LEV systems of varying sizes
- Testing of LEV systems, including: welding arms, spray booths, wood dust and cupboards
- Fault finding on existing systems
- Performing maintenance, including belt and fan replacements
- Measuring and assessing for new works
- Producing detailed technical reports
- Liaising directly with clients to provide project updates and technical support
- Adhering to strict safety guidelines
- Travelling in line with company needs
