  • Day rate: £600-£630 per day, outside IR35
    Location: Leeds - 2 days onsite per week

We are seeking an experienced Interim HR Business Lead to support a significant HR and Payroll transformation programme within a higher education organisation.

Working closely with the workstream leadership team, you will provide senior HR business leadership, ensuring HR requirements are clearly defined, stakeholders are aligned and transformation activity is effectively delivered.

Key responsibilities

Lead the HR business input into the HR and Payroll transformation programme.

Partner with senior stakeholders across HR, Payroll, Technology and the wider organisation.

Translate HR priorities into clear plans, activities and deliverables.

Provide confident HR advice, challenge and recommendations.

Contribute to programme governance and senior steering meetings.

Lead and manage HR team members as required.

Support technology implementation, process redesign and organisational change.

Ensure HR teams are effectively engaged and supported through the transformation.

About you

You will have:
Previous experience holding a senior HR position with strong HR business knowledge.

A proven track record of leading HR teams and stakeholders through significant transformation/change programmes .

Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.

Strong communication skills and confidence articulating plans, risks and activities to senior audiences.

Experience of team management and contributing to formal governance.

Experience working on technology-enabled HR transformation .

SAP Success Factors experience is highly desirable but not essential.
