As our new Data Architect , you'll play a key role in shaping how analytical data assets are designed, governed and delivered across Jet2. com and Jet2holidays .

Working within our Data Engineering & Analytics function, you'll transform business requirements and complex data sources into robust logical models, dimensional models, data flows and design artefacts that enable high-quality analytics and insight.

What you'll be doing: Designing and developing logical and dimensional data models that support reporting, analytics and data products.

Translating business requirements and conceptual designs into practical, delivery-ready data structures and design artefacts.

Profiling and analysing source data using SQL to understand quality, completeness and suitability for analytical use cases.

Creating source-to-target mappings, transformation documentation, data flow diagrams and lineage views.

Working collaboratively within cross-functional Analytics Design Squads alongside Business Analysts, Data Governance specialists, Product Owners and Engineers.

Supporting the development of governed, reusable data assets and modelling standards across the organisation.

Identifying risks, dependencies and assumptions early in the design lifecycle to improve delivery outcomes.

Communicating complex data concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What you'll have: Proven experience creating logical data models and analytical data designs.

Strong dimensional modelling expertise using Kimball methodologies, including facts, dimensions, measures and grain.

Advanced SQL skills with experience investigating, profiling and analysing data.

Experience producing data flow diagrams, lineage documentation and source-to-target mappings.

Strong understanding of data warehousing, analytical platforms and reporting environments.

Experience working with large-scale relational databases or modern cloud-based analytical platforms.

The ability to translate business requirements into effective and scalable data solutions.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills with experience working in cross-functional teams.

Desirable experience includes Snowflake, Alation, modern data catalogue tools, medallion architecture and Agile delivery environments.
