The role of the Business Development Manager Fire & Security Systems will involve:
- Field sales role predominantly selling specialist security solutions
- Promoting an extensive portfolio which includes; fire & security, CCTV, intruder alarms, access control, interactive visual response, key response, smoke systems, physical protection and integrated security
- Selling into predominantly commercial end users
- 60% New business development role, 40% account management
- Ideally utilising your own network of possible contacts within the industry
- Ensure that CRM records are maintained promptly and accurately
- Provide reliable and accurate sales forecasts bi-monthly
- Minimum of 4 customer activities per day (can be a mix of face to face and virtual)
- Working from home 50% on the road visiting customers 50%
The ideal applicant will be a Business Development Manager Fire & Security Systems with:
- Demonstrable field sales track record with the fire and security industry
- May consider internal sales experience with broad knowledge across the fire & security portfolio
- Mix of strong account management and new business skills
- Excellent organisational skills and planning
- Attention to detail, excellent communicator
- Natural influencer/ closing skills
- As much knowledge of as many of the fire & security products as possible; CCTV, intruder alarms, access control, interactive visual response, key response, smoke systems, physical protection and integrated security
- Ideally with a network of contacts with the fire & security marketplace
- Self-motivated/ very autonomous role
