At Job&Talent, we're recruiting on behalf of our client for Data Centre Installers to join a growing team delivering critical infrastructure projects across the UK and Europe. This is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for delivering, positioning, and installing server racks within secure data centre environments. You'll work as part of a professional team, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
We're looking for reliable, motivated individuals who enjoy practical work, can follow processes, and work well as part of a team. Full training is provided, with excellent opportunities for career progression within the fast-growing data centre industry.
Requirements:
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Full UK Category B driving licence.
- Basic experience using hand and power tools.
- Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Experience in a data centre, construction, or logistics environment.
- Willingness to travel for work when required.
- Experience completing digital checklists and reports.
- Knowledge of structured cabling (fibre and copper) is an advantage.
Please note: this role requires commitment and is not suitable for candidates looking for just one or two days per week. This is a long-term role moving to a permanent position.
Your Responsibilities:
- Attend client sites on time with the required equipment, PPE, and documentation.
- Deliver, unpack, position, and install server racks using hand and power tools.
- Safely lift and move equipment (up to 40kg, with occasional lifts up to 50kg using safe handling techniques).
- Install and manage fibre and copper cabling (full training provided).
- Follow all health & safety, security, and client procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional approach at all times.
- Communicate effectively with managers, team leaders, and colleagues, reporting progress and any issues.
- Complete daily checklists, activity reports, and other administrative tasks accurately.
- Carry out any additional duties appropriate to the role as required.
Salary: £15.38
Working hours: 07:00-16:00
Schedule: 5 days out of 7. Flexibility is required due to varying installation times.
