- Job Accountabilities
- Team
Management: Supervise, train, and develop the sales ledger/credit control team.
Set objectives, monitor performance, and conduct regular appraisals.

Oversight: Oversee the maintenance and accuracy of the sales ledger.
Ensure all sales invoices and credit notes are raised in a timely and accurate manner.
Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.
Reconcile daily receipts and allocate cash Credit Control & Cash
Collection: Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue accounts.
Implement and enforce the company's credit policy.
Liaise with customers to resolve payment issues and disputes.
Manage legal escalations where necessary.
Daily calls with customers when required- regular for key customers Ensure accounts do not reach retention (120 Days) Reporting & Analysis: Prepare weekly and monthly debtor reports and KPIs.
Support the finance team with audit preparation and external reporting .
System & Process
Improvement: Ensure sales ledger processes are efficient and compliant with company policies.
Contribute to system enhancements and finance transformation projects.
Maintain accurate documentation and procedures.
Experience needed: Proven experience in a similar Sales Ledger, Credit Control, or Accounts Receivable Manager role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles related to sales ledger and revenue recognition.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in financial systems (e. g., SAP, Oracle, Sage, or similar) and Excel.
Experience with managing a team and improving processes.
AAT qualified or equivalent (desirable).
