About the Client
Are you a hands-on Quality specialist looking to make a genuine impact within a fast-scaling manufacturer? We are recruiting for a high-growth FMCG business in Keighley that designs and manufactures personal care products. They are expanding rapidly and need an ambitious Quality Manager to lead their quality standards, strengthen technical compliance, and help shape a proactive safety culture on site.
Role Overview
This is a visible, on-the-ground leadership role. You won't just be sitting behind a desk - you will spend time on the factory floor collaborating closely with Operations, Engineering, NPD, and Hygiene teams. Beyond maintaining and elevating the Quality Management System (QMS), this position offers a clear personal development pathway. For the right candidate, there is a distinct opportunity to broaden your scope over time and grow into broader QEHS (Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety) leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- QMS Ownership: Lead, maintain, and continuously improve the site Quality Management System, specifications, procedures, and technical documentation.
- Factory Floor Coaching: Champion a strong quality, product safety, and hygiene culture. Coach and upskill site teams to embed proactive, prevention-focused behaviours.
- Audits & Standards: Establish and run a robust internal and zonal audit regime. Prepare the site for customer, 3rd-party, and accreditation audits (working towards/maintaining standards such as BRCGS, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and B Corp).
- Compliance & Control: Ensure rigorous GMP, GDP, HACCP, and TACCP compliance across all semi-finished and finished goods, including batch release and full traceability.
- Root Cause & CAPA: Lead non-conformance investigations, customer complaint resolutions, and root-cause analysis, implementing long-term preventative actions.
- NPD & Regulatory Support: Work cross-functionally with NPD and Marketing to verify technical, regulatory, and artwork/labelling requirements prior to product launches.
- QEHS & Safety Growth: Support site safety initiatives and daily incident follow-ups, helping build safety leadership capability across the business.
What We Are Looking For
- FMCG / Regulated Experience: Proven track record in a Quality, QA, or Technical role within FMCG manufacturing.
- Core Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of QMS, GMP, GDP, HACCP principles, and root-cause analysis (CAPA).
- Audit Readiness: Practical experience conducting internal audits and supporting external/customer audits.
- Communication & Influence: A collaborative style with the confidence to constructively challenge standards and take operational teams on the journey with you.
- Ambition: A strong interest in expanding your skill set into broader site safety and environmental leadership over time.
- Desirable Qualifications: Degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Quality Management, or an Engineering/Manufacturing discipline. HACCP Level 3 or 4. Internal Auditor qualification. Exposure to BRCGS, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or IOSH Managing Safely.
Whats on Offer?
- Competitive Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 depending on experience.
- Career Growth: A genuine pathway to develop from Quality Management into broader QEHS leadership.
- Impact & Purpose: A key leadership position within a values-led, highly sustainable, and rapidly expanding business where your voice matters.
