Due to continued growth we are recruiting a Machine Tool Fitter / Assembly Technician to join our leading client based near Keighley on a permanent basis. Successful candidates will ideally be time-served to ensure that high-precision assemblies and machine tools are built in accordance with supplied technical drawings and specifications; however, those with strong demonstrable assembly experience will also be considered.
Candidates will be required to assemble, test, refurbish and rebuild high-precision sub-assemblies and complete machine tools, working across both new build and aftermarket refurbishment activities.
Standard Days Monday to Friday, 07:45AM 4:00PM
Shifts available on Earlies/ Lates/ Nights - Shift Premiums apply
Overtime available all paid at premium rates.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience working within a precision assembly or machine build environment.
The ability to assemble and test high-precision sub-assemblies to engineering drawings and specifications.
Strong understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including the ability to hand-bend small-bore pipework.
The ability to read, understand and work confidently from engineering drawings and fluidic schematics (E-Plan).
Experience refurbishing and rebuilding legacy assemblies, including fault finding and producing replacement parts lists.
A solid understanding of precision assembly techniques and high-accuracy build processes.
Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving ability and exceptional attention to detail.
Commitment to maintaining quality standards and working safely at all times.
Candidate Skills
Ideally time-served with demonstrable experience assembling high-precision machinery or sub-assemblies.
Experience working to very tight tolerances within a high-accuracy engineering environment.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team, managing workload effectively to meet deadlines.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Strong understanding of health and safety requirements and safe working practices.
