Our client is a well-established manufacturing company with an international customer base, supplying high-quality products to specialist industries across Europe and beyond. They are seeking a commercially minded Financial Controller to lead the finance function at their Keighley site. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys combining strategic financial leadership with hands-on involvement in the day-to-day running of the finance function.
Reporting to senior leadership, you will take ownership of the company's financial management, ensuring accurate reporting, strong financial controls and providing valuable commercial insight to support business growth.
Key responsibilities include:
- Producing timely and accurate monthly management accounts
- Preparing financial reports, KPIs and performance analysis for senior management
- Leading the annual budgeting and forecasting process
- Monitoring business performance against budgets and forecasts, providing analysis and recommendations
- Managing cash flow, fixed assets and debtor performance
- Ensuring compliance with statutory reporting and tax obligations, working alongside external advisers
- Building strong relationships with external stakeholders including accountants, banks and insurers
- Identifying and implementing improvements to financial processes, systems and reporting
- Supporting strategic business decisions through commercial financial analysis
- Maintaining robust financial controls while remaining hands-on in the day-to-day finance operation
